Relay Long Run

My long run today was a relay!

I ran solo around the mountain trails for the first 10km or so and then met up with GEM on her bike who rode alongside me for the next ~18km. After waving "bye" to her I had a couple of transition kms on my own again until Special K rode from home to meet me and pedalled back along the bike path with me for the last part of the run.

Having today's long run broken into sections combined with the changing company got me through what would otherwise have been a bit of a haul today. I think my mind and body are ready to taper.

Spotted at Telopea Park, bit flat that area with Cradle Mtn coming up soon. May be you should have ran/walked with us. Good luck now with the taper, although a Mt Rob Roy and a Mt Tennent would do the world of good of the next two weeks.

Unfounded comment Two Fruits. Lots of kms before and after Telopea Park today were hilly. And I've run plenty of mountains and hills over the last 3 months.

Would like to have a chat before you go to Cradle Mtn. May be you can get to either of the next 2 Saturdays at Rob Roy or Tennent. The later will test you out, especially the second time up. Slow going gives plenty of time to chat, even up hill. Did you see Cradle Mtn today on Ernie Dingo show on TV. Looked spectacular.
