On Friday, Special K retired after 27.5 yrs of working at CSIRO. We celebrated in style at the Waters Edge Restaurant on Friday night. It was fabulous - lovely family time, and wonderful, interesting food.
Then today was a fresh, spring start to our kayaking. Special K and I enjoyed a relaxing paddle around Black Mountain Peninsula and beyond. It was a great day for it - sunny, warm and not too much breeze.
In between these two significant finishes and starts, this week was "same old, same old" in terms of training, work and other stuff. But ... it's amazing how a couple of landmark "finishes and starts" can make "same old, same old" seem so not "same old, same old". In other words, anything new and different can revitalise the normal routine.

Perfect days for kayaking :)
Indeed! In the meantime I recommend all of us non retirees go part-time and spend our non-work part-time hours running or kayaking or bushwalking or biking or gyming or ....
