Half A Hilly Holiday

When I fractured my pelvis a couple of days before Xmas (2013), we had to cancel/postpone our scheduled trip to Hobart (planned around the cadbury half marathon on 12 Jan 2014). As a matter of course the airlines held our flights in credit for 12mths but the accommodation we'd booked was booked through WOTIF - ie, no changes, no cancellations. Fortunately, WOTIF went in to bat for us and arranged with the hotel/apartment to hold our booking in credit - but just for 6mths, not 12mths - ie, up to or before June 2014. Since there was no real convenient 5 day block between Jan and June, Special K and I made a snap decision last week to "just go!". And so we did! :). And boy, were we glad we did! We had a totally lovely time. We ran, we hiked, we slept, we wined, we dined. It was fabulous. Here's a pic of Mt Wellington on the day we hiked it.

Good that you were able to reschedule the 'holiday' - great time of year for hiking too.

It was awesome Ewen :)

We've decided that 5 day "weekends" are the way to go. Next one will be Noosa mid winter :)
