2015 Running Goals

2015 has got off to a good running start for me and now it's time to set some 2015 running goals. Goals are talked about in so many different ways - for example:

* SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-framed);

* Short, medium and long term goals (define short, medium and long term?);

* A goals and B goals (or 1st goal and 2nd goal or ambitious goal and fall-back goal);

* Concurrent goals (X goal + Y goal = the goal)

Such talk can make goal setting more complicated than it needs to be so I have two SIMPLE running goals for 2015:

(1) To run all year without injury. Sometimes that may mean more running and less cross training, and sometimes that may mean more cross training and less running.

(2) To run a couple of marathons and/or ultras. The fine tuning of this goal -ie, the choice of event(s) and the training for each one will be determined by the success of my running building blocks.

What are your 2015 running goals? Perhaps we can share progress and updates via blogs instead of Facebook?

Good idea re sharing of goals and progress. Blogs are much better - FB posts get lost if you're not checking in every couple of hours!

Your 1) goal is the same as mine. My 2) goal is to run a sub-22 Parkrun.
